Good Teachers B.E.L.I.E.V.E in Their Students!

Welcome back to another week on the road through my agriculture education journey! The first few weeks of the semester have been full of great memories and opportunities to learn!

I have come to learn that teaching is more than just sharing knowledge, but it is encouraging students, fostering creativity, and building the future leaders of the next generation. In my weekly investment this week, I listened to 2 very powerful speakers about the importance of caring. To summarize what I learned, I can make that statement that teachers B.E.L.I.E.V.E in students! This stands for . . .

Teachers
Build-up
Encourage
Listen
Inspire
Empathize
Value
Empower
Students

In order to be the best teacher I can be, here are a few questions that I have so then I can learn and grow as a future teacher!

For my future students:
What are the best ways that a teacher can authentically make you feel like you are valued and matter in school, the community, and the world as a whole?

For my cooperating teachers:

What changes have you seen in students when they know that their opinions matter in the classroom and they feel valued?

For my cohort members:
How can we do better at valuing each other in our classroom discussions to model how we should make our students feel valued in our future classrooms?

Thank you for checking out my blog this week and stay tuned to see what comes along on my journey to becoming an agriculture teacher! :)

Future me BELIEVING in my students

  1. Love the acronym Jenna! You did a great job operationalizing something that was a nice sentiment, and turning it into an artifact that can be studied and provoke thought! Keep it up!
