Virtual Teaching Tips and Tricks!

 

Although virtual micro-teaching went extremely well, there are still many different ways that I can improve with teaching virtually. From reflecting last week about what the process was like, I was able to identify some areas that I could improve upon. 

A few things that I struggled with were regarding managing the virtual platform. I used the google meet platform which was a huge learning curve for me. There were a few hick-ups with the connection and communication between the students! There were awkward moments waiting for students to respond, but overall we worked through the bumps and I am excited to keep learning more! 

I found a very helpful resource that gives realistic tips and tricks for virtual teaching! Edutopia shared some really great tips about how to connect with students virtually and keep the class engaging! I liked how some of the advice was about how to build relationships with students and how to make students feel valued!

All in all, virtual teaching went great and I am looking forward to continuing to learn more!
