I had the wonderful privilege to observe one of Gettysburg's many talented students, Kate on my first SAE Visit. Kate is a sophomore in the Agricultural Education program here in Gettysburg. Some of Kate's hobbies include working on her family's farm and photography. Kate used her two passions and hobbies to create a one-of-a-kind foundational SAE.

One of the first sights that caught my eye in the agriculture hallway were these amazing posters in my cooperating teacher's windows. I was amazed when I learned that these pictures of various sectors in the agriculture industry were all taken by Kate.
Kate's SAE includes the process of her exploring the various sights around her family's farm and capturing the beauty in the agriculture industry. She then works with another teacher in the building to develop and print these images for various uses like posting them in the ag hallway in the school.
Working with Mrs. Kennedy and Ms. Timmons, Kate has been able to develop her own website to display and sell her fantastic work that captures the various aspects of the agriculture industry. My suggestion to help Kate expand on her SAE would be to display her work in the local community. Having a connection to a local coffee shop in Gettysburg, I want to be able to have some of her printed pictures shared in the community. This would be a great way for her to expand her market, increase her profit, and gain more support for her project.Kate keeps accurate records of her SAE project through the AET and has monthly meetings with the ag teachers to reflect on her progress. Kate's unique SAE project has amazed me because of her creativity and success through combining her two passions! Great work Kate!
